Avoiding Sugar Over The Holiday Season

‘Tis the season to be merry but along with the merriment can come a tendency to over-indulge in tempting festive sweets and treats! While all is good and well in moderation, for those of us who suffer from candidiasis, it’s important to keep in mind the importance of reducing sugar consumption wherever possible. Here are a few tips to help you stay on track with a low-sugar diet these holidays…
1. If you’re 100% off the sweet stuff, explain to people what you’re doing, and why, early in the game. This way they won’t feel offended when you don’t take a slice of their special Christmas cake.
2. Avoid drinking alcohol. Not only is alcohol high is sugar, but one or two cocktails or glasses of champagne can really, really weaken your resolve.
3. If you get intense sugar craving while you’re around sweets, try drinking a big glass of water. It will fill you up somewhat, and give you time to walk away and redirect yourself to something healthy and savoury to nibble on instead.
4. Pass up on making cookies as gifts or for party contributions this year. Be kind to yourself and don’t put yourself in temptation’s way!
5. And finally, don’t beat yourself up if you falter a little along the way. It’s a celebratory time of year so here’s to toasting a happy and healthy 2015!

If you suffer from candidiasis (commonly referred to as ‘thrush’), Kolorex Candida Care can quickly and effectively address systemic Candida overgrowth.

  1. Will one treatment of 30 capsules do the trick or must i go on?

    • Hi, one treatment of 30 x capsules is usually sufficient for most people but this is not the case for everyone. Please consult with your health professional if in doubt.

      • Thanks, i will do another treatment just in case—cannot ask my dr. he won`t know–
